University of Mumbai, dept of Pali and Sarala sahitya Sambad of Odisha held a joint convention at University of Mumbai, kalina, Santacruz, Mumbai on 23/08/25. Many University professors, students, eminent Odiya i,e mr Manoranjan Nayak, transporter, Ranjan Roy, industrialists, b k.panigrahi, IRPS, Krishna Mishra, technocrats, Bhagwan Sabat, financial Advisor and great social worker, mrs mishra and her daughter mrs Shivani mishra and many others were present. Mr Dr Bipin Behari mishra, eminent social worker, president Bombay Odiya Mahasangh and Chairman SURYA KHETRA FOUNDATION, Was Guest of honour. Dr Prabhakar Swain , president Sarala Sahitya Samsad Cuttack was and department of Pali were organisers. Main them of the speaker were about the origin of Buddhism, pali language and its use and spread of Pali language in different places of Odisha like, Dhauli. Udayagiri, kanada giri etc. More than 200 persons were present. All the Speechs were very much appreciated by the audience. It was worth attendance. It was discussed with odiyas attended that program that many such odiya Sahitya Samsad programs be organised in Mumbai in large scale to promote the language among youngsters.
